KPMG: Global Health Research Platform

Overview

Full-stack engineer at KPMG on a global health research platform. The platform is the system researchers across multiple institutions and countries use to publish, manage, and collaborate on their research projects, so reliability, multi-region support, and traceability all matter more than they would on a typical web app.

Client name confidential.

Scope and what I own

  • Feature work across the stack: the platform's web application, backend services, and the Node.js layer in between.
  • End-to-end test suite ownership. Built and maintain a Playwright E2E test suite covering the critical user flows. The reason this is a load-bearing job and not a side task: a regression in researcher workflows propagates to multiple institutions on different schedules, so the cost of a missed regression is higher than the cost of a slow test run.
  • Release and CI/CD coordination. Working inside Azure DevOps for sprint management, repos, pipelines, and release coordination across the team.

Stack

  • Backend: Node.js
  • Testing: Playwright (E2E)
  • Infrastructure / process: Azure DevOps for CI/CD, repos, boards, sprint cadence
  • Methodology: Agile / Scrum

What I'd add to this page later

The KPMG description has to stay client-confidential, but quantifiable details that don't break that (team size, sprint cadence, the number of E2E tests under my ownership, services I've shipped) would all make this page more concrete. I'll add those once I know what's safely shareable.
